Medical Science Liaison, Oncology

A leading Global Pharmaceutical MNC with the scientific vision of designing and developing medicines that provide ongoing care for patients beyond their treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with KOLs and (HCPs) within a therapeutic area (TA) to deliver detailed scientific education and communicate complex scientific information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Build rapport with KOLs as scientific peers and advocates
  • Execute and comply with Medical Affairs strategies
  • Gather and internally communicate relevant opinions
  • Represent Medical Affairs and the Company at medical educational events, programs, meetings and conventions
  • Represent Medical Affairs and the Company in delivering medical presentations to organisations
  • Liaise with the Medical Affairs staff on the development and implementation of the country- and therapeutic-specific Medical Affairs strategies and initiatives
  • Identify, develop and implement medical programs
  • Lead Medical Affairs activities in assigned territory, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external HCPs
  • As appropriate, assist in the selection of clinical study sites for Company-sponsored oncology/neurology clinical trials
  • As appropriate, nominate HCPs and provide justification for their consideration in various Medical and/or Company-sponsored activities (i.e. advisors, investigators, speakers, authors, etc.)
  • As appropriate, communicate information to HCPs regarding Company-sponsored Medical initiatives and research opportunities (Medical programs, sponsor ships, grants, etc.) and liaises with HCPs regarding these activities as per Local affiliate regulations
  • Maintain KOL profiling and visitation records for the territory
  • As applicable, assist in the development of educational and training material and conducts medical training for internal colleagues
  • As applicable, create and gain approval of medical presentations for use in scientific engagements with HCPs
  • Ensure compliant use of field material and conduct of activities and act as a respected and highly regarded representative of the Medical Affairs department and Company

Requirements:

1) MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD preferred

2) Experience in scientific/clinical training in Oncology/Neurology area

3) Strong commercial acumen

4) Previous MSL or related pharmaceutical experience preferred; oncology experience will be an advantage
